Troubleshooting (Fast Fixes)
- No connection: Headlights ON; unplug/replug 7-pin; check adaptors; ensure only one phone/remote is paired at a time.
- Brakes weak/strong: tweak gain in small steps and re-test at 40–50 km/h.
- Override not working: confirm app is connected to the correct controller.
If Pairing Fails — Do This
One device at a time
The controller (EB2/ELBC series) connects to one device at a time. Disconnect other phones/remotes first.
- Force-close the ElecBrakes app on any other phone, or in App → Devices tap the orange icon to disconnect.
- On your phone: Settings → Bluetooth → remove old ElecBrakes entries, then retry pairing.
Power & lighting sanity check
- Unplug & re-plug both trailer plugs and the EBC Deutsch connector.
- Ignition ON + headlights ON(not AUTO/DRL only).
- Check tail/brake lights (press pedal → dim to bright). Replace dull/blown globes.
- With brake pedal held, listen for a faint buzz at the hubs (indicates output).
App reset path
- Install any pending phone updates; restart.
- Uninstall/reinstall the ElecBrakes app.
- Open the app → pick your model from the device list and follow prompts.
- EB2 tip: If NFC prompt shows but you want Bluetooth: tap Cancel → Add Manually.
